Week 15 of the NFL betting lines season is set to start later tonight, when the Atlanta Falcons renew hostilities with the Jacksonville Jaguars. We’ve said every week since about week 11 that this is the most important week of the season, however, with several playoff spots still up for grabs after a wild week 14, bookie software agents are certain this is the most important week of the season. Here are a few picks for week 15.

Cincinnati Bengals at St. Louis Rams – After hanging on to the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC up until last weekend’s loss to the Houston Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals are now facing a must win game against the St. Louis Rams. This game should benefit the Bengals, who have had all week to practice, while the Rams are playing on shortened rest, after getting killed in the Monday Night game against rivals Seattle. In order for the Bengals to make the playoffs, they need a convincing victory here and a New York Jets loss to stand a chance at the final playoff seed.

San Francisco 49ers at Pittsburgh Steelers  - Despite locking up the fifth wild card spot a few weeks ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be desperately trying to win against the San Francisco 49ers in this game. The Steelers may or may not have the services of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, which by all accounts could be a huge problem, come playoff time. During last week’s Thursday night affair against the Cleveland Browns, the man known as Big Ben crumbled to the floor after sustaining a high ankle sprain. Although he finished the game, one has to wonder if the coaching staff for the NFL Steelers made the right choice putting him back in the game.
