NFL betting lines are set to close later today, as the New York Jets take on the Denver Broncos in a rare Thursday night matchup to kickoff week 11. As sports fans, it is crazy to think that the 2011 football season is roughly five weeks from finishing. With that in mind, today we’ll be looking at a few important bookie software games to wager on this week. Carolina Panthers At Detroit Lions – On Sunday, two of the youngest teams in the NFC collide, when Carolina travels to Detroit to take on the Lions. Aside from Cam Newton, it has been tough to praise anything that the Panthers have done this year, as they continue to get destroyed week in and week out. The Panthers defense is one of the worst, as they have given up an average of 23 points a game through the first nine games they have played this season. On the other hand, the Lions quickly have gone from being one of the biggest surprises of the 2011 NFL season, to one of the biggest disappointments. After jumping out to a quick five game win streak, the Lions have gone an abysmal one and three in their last four contests. Yet, they are facing an awful Panthers team that has yet to win on the road this season. On Sunday things shouldn’t be much different, as Detroit cruises to an easy victory. Buffalo Bills At Miami Dolphins – Another game featured on Sunday, is an all AFC East matchup, as the Buffalo Bills travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins. After also jumping out to a hot start, the Bills have cooled off considerably. Since opening the season on a three game winning streak, the Bills have alternated wins and losses, with a two game losing streak currently. Meanwhile, the Dolphins dropped their first seven contests, but appear to be gaining momentum, having won their last two games. Nevertheless, if Buffalo really is a good team, they will find a way to get the job done against Miami on Sunday. |
