NFL Venues – The New Meadowlands Stadium

NCAA football betting players who follow Rutgers would love to see their team in the New Meadowlands Stadium, which opens this season for NFL play.

The New Meadowlands has a capacity of 82,566, along with 10,005 club seats and around 200 boxes, which puts it behind only FedEx Field in Washington in terms of seating capacity. The New Meadowlands will play host to the New York Jets and Giants, who will play the first game there on Monday, August 16th. The Giants have the honor of playing the first regular-season game in history on September 12th against Carolina, while the Jets will play the next night on Monday Night Football against Baltimore.

But that isn’t all for the New Meadowlands, which will be used as a venue for the United States if their bid to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022 is accepted. The NFL has also already awarded the 2014 Super Bowl to the New Meadowlands, making it the first time that the Super Bowl has been held in this area of the country, and also, it’ll be the first time that the Super Bowl will be played in the northeast in a stadium without a dome, meaning Super Bowl Sunday could be a bit chilly for the competitors that day.

The New Meadowlands is one of the most expensive stadiums ever built, and it can compete with the FedEx Fields and the Cowboys Stadiums of the NFL. The New York/New Jersey area has long deserved a better stadium, and you never know, it could give them a homefield advantage that affects their sports betting chances as well.
